As Urs, Seb, David and Sebastien prepare for their second show in South Africa, we caught up with Urs on reflection of the opening night in Cape Town, South Africa.
“What a thrill to finally be back on the stage and perform to a live audience, we've all missed you so much. A big big thank you right away to our Cape Town audience on Wednesday night, you were absolutely marvellous. You've embraced our new repertoire and with your spontaneous applause at the beginning of many of the songs, you showed us immediately your appreciation and that even after three years you haven't forgotten us and our music. It felt great to sing a full show together and we're very much looking forward to the shows around the world over the coming months.
We had a day off in Cape Town yesterday before we travelled onto Johannesburg for the next show tonight. I was strolling around in the town and received so many wonderful messages of congratulations from fans who had seen the show. I even had a beautiful young lady sitting next to be at my breakfast table yesterday morning, she said she was a huge Il Divo fan and sang "The Prayer" for me, there, then, live and pure - what an incredible gift to receive from somebody, I was speechless.
In the afternoon I hired a Harley and went for a long ride through the wine lands and along the coastal roads. Biking doesn't get much better than that!
All in all, I must say that I definitely have to add Cape Town to the group of my favourite cities in the world. Thank you very much Cape Town for such a warm and wonderful welcome to our 2012 world tour and hopefully it won’t be another five years until we can come back here again.

I've been reading about all your concerts, as you travel around the world, and they sound fantastic. You four gentlemen are the best good-will ambassadors that the world could ever have. was at your concert at Hope Estate, Hunter Valley, Australia. Sat in the 6 row from the front. Even the rain didn;t dampen you performance although i am sure it kept some people away. We must have looked a sight in our Poncho's and you guys looking beautiful as all ways. Thanks for a great night and come back soon.

I'm glad you have had a wonderful start to the new tour and I can't wait till you come to Chicago. My girls are real big now since last you saw them..it's unreal. lol That is amazing that a girl just sang to you like that precious moments you will never forget. In the end thats all we take with us is our memories. Happy you got to ride your Harley around that must feel so good I could only imagine. Well I will be stopping by here more often now that the tour has begun and with the new forum I like. Take care of yourself & love to the guys.
