Michael first recorded the song from Aspects of Love in 1989 when he originated the role of Alex in the West End and Broadway productions; the song became a huge hit and stayed in the singles charts for 14 weeks.
Michael Ball on the collaboration: “We had a really good time in the studio recording ‘Love Changes Everything’ and I think the Il Divo boys bring a fresh new dimension to one of my favourite songs and I’m really pleased at the way it’s turned out.”
Carlos Marin adds: “Michael Ball has been one of my favourite musical theatre idols since I played the role of Marius when Les Miserables first opened in Spain. We all had the pleasure of meeting him at a TV show in London recently, and it was an instant 'yes' from all of us to join him on a duet with 'Love Changes Everything'. We had such fun in the studio with him, we hope you enjoy this new version as much as we did recording it".

It seems to me, that Michael Ball is just like KJ, looking for support with their voices, and that is when they are turning to IlDivo, four powerful men with incredible talent, being the artists of this century, and of course these men will never say no, because that is who they are, always willing to help and supporting people, that need just that, support.
Different situations with Barbara Streisand or Celine Dijon, who are artists totally on their own, so the song is lovely, but Carlos alone is making the song, just gorgeous, to say the least.

Very nice song! I have nothing against Michael Ball, but Il Divo MAKES the song!
I love IL Divo also but people have to be open to new directions the boys want to go to. I would love to hear just Carlos's voice on certain songs, but they are a team. Each new direction has a purpose and we have to continue to respect what direction the boys want to go in. This song will open more people to them.
I just listened to this very nice song, but without Carlos, Sebastian, David and Urs, it would not be appealing to me, Michael Ball singing this song alone, it again shows, the four guys are making a song stick with classic beautiful voices, only they can do it!
