I just watched the video "Steppin out", the guys singing with KJ the beautiful song "O holy Night", oh my God she totally overpowered them with her screaming voice, it almost sounded like the guys were backing off their angelic voices, to let her be center, that is not working for me at all, I am so used to their soft presentation, but this is not good, by all means, and that was only one song, I am sort of glad that I will not attend any concerts in the spring with KJ, if she wants to be in concerts, she should just have her own, IlDivo please be IlDivo, and not with company.
I get that newsletter, too, and it's very helpful in keeping up with the guys' activities. I agree with you, Katherina, a new Christmas CD would be wonderful and perhaps lead to another group of Christmas concerts, at some point. I'm all for that.
I'm not really concerned with what kind of music the guys sing, whether it be all original music or all show tunes or whatever they chose. And of course I know, Thomas, that the guys would never want to do anything to disappoint their fans. I trust their judgment 100%. However, who knows what their management is pushing them to do to help out other artists, e.g. Katherine Jenkins, who aren't as successful on their own. My fear, and I think it's a legitimate one, is that IL Divo will somehow be persuaded to make a CD with another artist and/or begin touring with a fifth voice. This is something that I think would eventually hurt their own careers and I certainly don't want to see anything like that happen.
As long as Carlos, Sebastien, Urs and David are performing by themselves, I don't care what type of music they sing, with the possible exception of "Rap". Just don't ruin the beautiful sound of IL Divo with anyone else's voice!

I receive a newsletter almost every day, that I signed up for, and it is very interesting to read what our four fabulous guys are doing with appearances, interviews etc.
There are so many songs that they could be singing, without going to new directions, for one thing I would really have them create a new Christmas album, there are beautiful melodies of German Christmas songs, Carlos grew up in Germany, just like me and would know them, that would be something new, and this idea with a fifth wheel, is really not what I would like to look forward to, it just does not feel and sound right, no matter how that fifth voice would sound, that is something many fans, including me, would like to say to management, or even Simon Cowell, keep IlDiVo as four guys, that are doing a fantastic job, I kind of feel sad, that they do not seem to come to the USA next year, at least it does not sound like it. We have to wait and see.

In regards to Suzanne and Russ comments, I have heard those comments too. However Urs said in a recent interview that the fans should not be worried about there new music direction so we should not worry at this pointeither or hopefully at all . I heard they might do a theme type of album. Maybe songs from broadway shows or all music sung in spanish only or italian only , or all new orginal music heard for the first time by anyone. We should have faith after 9 years with these guys and after all the joy they have brought to there fans here in USA and all over the world they would disappoint us. That is my hope for there new music and the new upcoming year and hopefully seeing them again Live asap!

We also got our Deluxe Edition of the Greatest Hits today and it's quite an impressive collection. The new songs are so beautiful that they bring tears to my eyes. I can't wait to hear them sing these songs in person. So far, I haven't heard anything about them extending their European & UK Tour to the U.S. If they do come, I hope they come alone.
The guys have been doing some very interesting interviews over in the UK. Is anyone else worried about this "new direction" they say they will be going in for the future? Headlines like "The End of IL Divo As We Know It" make me very nervous. I really love them just the way they are, and since they are obviously very successful right now, why is it necessary for them to change? Just thought I'd ask how other people were feeling about this potential change.
