So, tonight’s the night! Il Divo are performing the first night of their world tour at Grand Arena Casino, Cape Town, South Africa.
Seb, David, Carlos and Urs would love to hear your messages of good luck and support. During rehearsals in London last week we got up close and personal to find out how they were feeling before they embarked on travelling the world…
Urs – what is your favourite song from the new set?
"In the last few days of rehearsing I have grown really fond of "Crying" and "Stay". We've adapted the arrangement for the purpose of the Il Divo live show and I love the new version, I think it sounds fantastic and I'm very curious how the audience is going to appreciate the little surprise."
David - what are you looking forward to most about going on tour?
"I am looking forward to being in front of the fans again. It had been far too long. It is on stage that we really feel most comfortable with our music. Recording is fun and TV performances are a lot fun too but when we play our live shows, that's where it comes alive for us."
Seb - what will you miss most about being away and is there anything you take on the road to remind you of home?
"I will miss my lovely wife and children. When I’m on the road I take my favourite pillow for comfort and a beautiful collection of photos of the family as a constant reminder."
Carlos - what’s your favourite item of tour wardrobe is and do you wear anything for good luck?
"My favourite piece of wardrobe is my tuxedo! The one thing I need for good luck is my voice and a clear head…to remember all the ladies phone numbers after the show…hahaha!!"
Urs tells us what he’s looking forward to most about the tour.
"I’m of course really looking forward to travelling around the world to so many different countries especially because we have been to most places before so we know them a little bit. Although, we haven't been to some of these wonderful places for a few years so, that's very exciting. Most of all I am looking forward to singing our new show with all the new songs from ‘Wicked Game’ as well as many of our classics. I am a singer and that's my passion so the coming year will give me plenty of opportunity to indulge myself in singing and performing. Plus at the same time hopefully making a lot of people very happy!" Back to news index

I've been very busy with work, but I will make time to write more often because I miss you.
Lieve Anna, how are you? so the ice is gone ... but you have enjoyed, you and your family .... My dad turned 57 and thanks to him and my mom is that I discovered Il Divo.
I would like to have many millions to do a concert and invite all the great people I've met here and enjoy 4 magnificent creations of God, our Divos, our angels!
Paola!! that good that you enjoyed your vacation so much, 2012 is your year!! I imagine the thrill that runs through your body to think about your meeting with URS at the M & G! Hello dear Debbie, how are you? have many presentations in front? you know I also like most the CD version of Crying, really love the blend of the voices of Revekah del Rio and the guys, but i thinks that on tour is necesary make some chances...and its beatiful the version they sing on stage...They put so much soul and heart in every thing they do.....

I also think of you. It's feels so good that I know that people who I never met could be my friends on the internet. But mabey there are some angels around us wo brought us together. You never now.
Some things happens sometimes.
And I am so happy for you that you can meet Urs and the others. You deserve it. They are so good on stage.

Indeed he so beatiful. I never saw any men in my whole life who's so beatiful and lovely as him. Your absolutly true, God gave him this beatiful voice at his birth. I believe that. He sings like an angel.
At his birth God knows that he should be a great singer someday. To give a lot of joy to the world.

The cold weather is gone now. The ice is no more.
I did again a good evening with Il Divo dvd. ( an evening with Il Divo Barcelona). The people loved it. There were 12 Alzheimer patients with me.
Oh, I wish you could come with me to Oberhausen in seven weeks. I can't believe I saw then for the second time. And then four weeks later to Rotterdam...can't wait to see them.
Dear Guille, sometimes beautiful things happens, and then we meet some day.

I followed Il Divo with the tour. Not really of course...but in my head and I look at pictures from the tour. Oh I wished I was there.....now. But we have to wait.
O by the way I go to Oberhausen with my neighbour. My husband did not want to go with me to Il Divo again. I have a very lovely neighbour he was so happy that he can go with me to Il Divo.
He loves David the most.

Dears Divas friends, my vacation in Miami and Orlando were great, had fun with my family, we had really incredible moments ... well I'm back to Brazil recovering life, after all holidays are not forever and is now rolling up their sleeves and work... In a few days we'll have the most important holiday here which is Carnival, a festival very cheerful and very colorful .... Dear Anna, Debbie, Guille I finally managed to buy my VIP Meet & Greet tickets to Las Vegas in July .... now I have to save money because I paid US$ 1.500 for tickets, not counting spending on flights tickets, hotel, meals, tours, etc, etc .... but worth every penny spent ...I hope you are healthy and happy...Kisses to you all...Paola
